Are you interested in built-ins?

Recently we helped a homeowner who lived in a beautiful house in the country built about 70 years ago. Storage is always an issue in older homes, but this couple didn't want the new units to look new. After a lot of discussion and planning this is what we came up with.
The corner hutches are simple units that almost blend into the walls, but give considerable storage for dishes and silver in the old dinning room. The bookcase and gun gun safe cabinet fit nicely under the soffett that adds depth to the high ceilings. Trimmed with a modest crown molding and painted to blend into the wall we were able to create something that looked like it belonged and had been a part of this room from the beginning.
